It’s no surprise that more, and more companies are releasing special controllers to improve the gaming experience. From the Nintendo Wii to the recently announced “Project Natal” by Microsoft, companies are striving for new ways to add depth to their games. Just look at, Activision-Blizzard’s rhythm franchise, which has earned over $2 billion to this very day. It should not be a surprise since controller-based games are making it big these days. Speaking of which, THQ announced that they are hard at work on a new type of game specific controller, which should come out next year. The claim was made by THQ chief executive, Brian Farrell, during an interview with the LA Business Journal. In the interview, Farrell asserted that “We have something that we think is different from anything else out there and will give us a competitive advantage…[b]eyond that, we can’t say much.”
