Games-News-Battlefield Heroes Delayed Till Next Year
Here’s what I have to say about the news: NOOOO! DICE has unfortunately announced that they will shut down the closed beta and will postpone the release of its free-to-play online shooter, Battlefield Heroes, to 2009.

For those who are unaware about Battlefield Heroes, the upcoming game is a cartoon-style action game currently under development by EA Digital Illusions CE. The game will feature context-specific third- and first-person shooter perspectives and the game will be the first Battlefield game to be released under Electronic Arts’ new “Play 4 Free” model, which will see the game released for free with revenue generated from advertising and micropayments.

James Salt, senior producer at DICE said that “… we’ve been listening to feedback from the lucky beta people, who have been a tremendous help to us in balancing the gameplay, squashing bugs and improving the overall quality of the game.We have also been working hard on the parts of the beta that aren’t the game,” he added. “There’s the 10 per cent game part you can see, and the hiding 90 per cent is what we call the ‘backend’.”
