Remember Portal? How can you forgot about the game? Portal was a game released with the Orange Box, a collection of Valve games including Team Fortress 2, and every Half Life 2 game known to man. The game required you to solve a series of puzzles using your Portal gun, which was an amazing concept and the game received a 5 out of 5 when Pariah’s Guild reviewed it in October of last year. Anyway, for the PC version of Portal, you can add extra maps to the game. However, console versions of the game is stuck without any new downloads. You would think that Valve would add new content to the game via X-Box live or PS3 network.
Although PS3 Network has not confirmed if Portal will be ready to be downloaded off their network, XBLA has totally rejected the idea due to file size problems. Doug Lombardi, VP of marketing at Valve. Had made the following statement…
“We’d love to do that. Right now it’s something we’d love to do. I’d love to sell Portal on Xbox live…[But] the platform holders aren’t doing that right now. There’s a size limit and all kinds of other things.”
Xbox Live Arcade titles file size must not be greater than 150MB.
