It Wasn‘t Me! It Was My Evil Twin Brother!-Final Fantasy 12
After being captured in the beginning of FFXII, Vann, Batheir, and Fran must escape the prison and reach precious freedom. After killing a couple guards, monsters, etc. , they finally encounter Basch, the “loyal” knight who betrayed the king during the war between Dalmasca and Arcadia. After much resentment, the group hesitantly let him join the party. Near the end of the Dungeon, Basch shares to the party what really happened during his suppose “betrayal”. It turns out that he never betrayed the king. What do you think could of happened? Was he temporally possessed and killed him? No! Did the enemy threaten to kill his family? No! Gave up? Alright! He didn’t kill the king, but his…evil…twin brother did. What? Yes, his evil twin brother killed the king. To me, it sounds like Sqaure Enix was either being lazy, and couldn’t give a thoroughly explanation on his betrayal, or they could have been watching too much Soap Operas. Either way, that moment was the most remember able story moment in FFXII, and I mean it in a bad way.
Everything-Katamari Damacy series
Flying pandas? People dancing around mushrooms? A deer in a bathroom stall? Just what kind of game is this? The Katamari Damacy series has always been one of the weirdest games in the PS2 library. The purpose of series is to roll up a bunch of useless items using your oh so sticky katamari ball in order to make your katamari ball big enough to become a star or planet. Keep in mind, you get to roll up people! That means when the ball gets crushed into a star at the end of the stage, your crushing people as well. You can even hear their screams! Don’t even get me started on the various unlockable characters in each stage! Some of them have the weirdest head shapes ever! You’ll see one character head shaped like a noodle, another one has a head shaped like a bowl filled with noodles, while another one looks like a pair of…umm…let’s move on! In a nutshell, The Katamari Damacy series is a type of series that will think your own drugs, but you’re actual playing a game made by people who take drugs.
The End-Metal Gear Solid 3
The Metal Gear Solid series always had memorable boss fights. Out of all of them, it seems like players remembered Psycho Mantis more than any other boss fights in the whole series. What about The End? He was cool as well! In fact, he was down right scary. In Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Snake must get to the facility where Metal Gear, a weapon of unimaginable destruction, is being created. The only person standing in his way is The End, a Cobra member who’s almost over a hundred years old. Despite the fact that his expiration date was expired years ago, he’s one of the most formidable bosses in the whole game. He has stun grenades, his sniper rifle can take a big chunk from your health, and you can barely see him. But, that’s not the crazy part about the boss. If you decide to not play your PS2 for a month or two, then The End will automatically die. You didn’t even have to put up a fight with him!
