Garry’s Mod 10

Ewwww! That’s a face only a mother can love! Anyway, I would like to say sorry to you guys since the game I’m covering this month doesn’t cost twenty bucks. The game I’m covering today only costs… ten bucks! That’s right! The game being covered today only costs ten bucks, which should give you the perfect reason to buy it. Of course, I’m talking about Garry’s Mod 10.

Garry’s Mod 10 isn’t really a game per say. Garry’s Mod 10 is more of a sandbox game in which you can do things only achievable in your imagination. First off, in Garry’s Mod 10, you can create anything using Half Life 2, Counterstrike, or whatever Valve game you have in steam, props. You can build a simple catapult just using two wheels and a pillar! You can also build a simple car made of saw blades and a wooden box! But, if you really want to be bold, try building a simple rocket ship using two thrusters, and a barrel. You can really unleash your engineering pow less in this game!

Well, maybe you’re not into building stuff, and you just want to recreate “classic” moments from popular games, movies, books, etc? Then maybe you should use the rag doll feature in Garry’s Mod 10. In Garry’s Mod 10, the game gives you rag dolls, or pose-able models, of popular Half Life 2, Team Fortress 2, Portal, etc. (like I said before, it depends on what Valve game you have installed in Steam). A perfect example can be found in Pariah’s Guild monthly Garry’s Mod Wallpaper, which I created a classic scene from the A-Team using Garry’s Mod 10. Some of these rag dolls can be used to create thousands of expressions using Faceposer in Garry’s Mod 10.

Another huge plus about Garry’s Mod 10 is the huge amount of mods and community support. If you visit Garry’s Mod website, then you can see a list of new mods for the game. These ranges from new maps (like GM_explore), new items, like the hoverboard, and new addons, like the Nuke pack I talked about yesterday. Finally, Garry’s Mod 10 has multiplayer support. Why would you want to have strangers playing with you in a sandbox game? Because you’ll be able to pull off Gmod gaming machinima (which is commonly uses still images), or create something that I dare to say “impossible”. For example, a person created a battleship using all his friends from Garry’s Mod 10.

Garry’s Mod 10 is one of the best sandbox games around, and the most fun to play. You have ten bucks, so how about you use it. Trust me, it will be the best game you spent ten bucks on for a long time.
