News-Dragon Quest 9 Confirmed

In 2005, Square Enix released Dragon Quest VIII for the PS2, one of Square Enix’s most beloved RPG franchise besides the Final Fantasy series. The game featured a cell shaded look (which was done by the artist behind the fame Dragonball Z series), featured new monsters to the series, and a new story.

Well great news! Square Enix announced that they will be working on a brand new Dragon Quest game…other than the upcoming Dragon Quest game for the Wii.

“It’s almost complete.” Yoichi Wada, Square Enix’s president .He also touched upon a possible area of fine tuning for developer Level-5 as he noted, “The balance between single player and multiplayer is important.”

Sadly, Wada wouldn’t give a specific time frame for the game, only stating that Square Enix does not want to rush it out. Some people are saying that the game will be released for the Nintendo DS, but there’s no confirmation on the plateform the game will be released on.
